How to Compress or Resize Image with SliceMaker Image Compressor?

 

SliceMaker Image Compressor Tutorial consists of 3 parts:

 

Part 1: How to compress or resize image

 

 Step 1: Import the image that you want to compress or resize into SliceMaker Image Compressor

 

 

Note: SliceMaker Image Compressor also allows you to drag-and-drop images or image file folders.

 

 

 Step 2: Complete the output settings

 

 

1) Set the maximum width and maximum height.

Note: If you don't want to change the width and height of the original images, simply don't tick the related boxes.

2) Set the output quality

The lower percent you set the lower quality the output image will be. However, SliceMaker Image Compressor provides comprehensive technologies which can help you reduce up to 65% of the image size while keeping the same quality.

3) Set the output format

4) Select destination folder

 

 

 Step 3: Start compressing or resizing

 

Simply click the 'Start Processing' button to start compressing or resizing your images

 

 

 Note: After all the above steps have been finished, please double click the output images to open the destination folder.

 

 

 

Part 2: How to add watermark to image

 

SliceMaker Image Compressor allows you to add both text watermark and image watermark. After importing image into the software, please follow the below steps to add watermark to your imported image.

 

 Step 1: Tick the 'Add Watermark' box and then click the 'Watermark Setting' button.

 

 

 Step 2: Start Adding Watermark

 

SliceMaker Image Compressor allows you to add both text watermark and image watermark. After complete the watermark settings, please click the 'Confirm' button.

 

 

 

 Step 3: Click the 'Start Processing' button to finish the watermark settings

 

 

Note: After the above watermark settings have been finished, please double click the output images to open the destination folder.

 

 

 

Part 3: What is Monitored Directory and How to Use It?

 

 

 

Monitored Directory actually is a file folder on your computer. Once you've selected a file folder as the Monitored Directory, then the images you save into the file folder will be automatically compressed, resized, added watermarks or converted according to your output settings.

 

The follow passage will teach you how to use the Monitored Directory function.

 

 Step 1: Tick the 'Start Monitored Directory' Box

 

After ticking the 'Start Monitored Directory' box, you will be asked to select a file folder as the monitored directory.

 

 

 

 Step 2: Complete the Output Settings.

 

Customize the output settings such as maximum width and height, watermark settings, output quality and output format. Once you have set the output settings, all the images within the Monitored Directory will be automatically processed according to your settings.

What's more, when you have new images that want to be processed, simply save them to the file folder (Monitored Directory) and then the images will be automatically processed according to your settings.

 

 Note: Please don't close SliceMaker Image Compressor when using the Monitored Directory function.
