What will Happen by Setting the Selected Slice as Auto Width?

If you set the selected slice as Auto Width, the width of the selected slice will be flexible and will change according to the contents within the selected slice after the webpage that contains the selected slice is generated, view the below example:

1) If there are only a few contents within the selected slice, the width of the selected slice will be narrow after the webpage that contains the selected slice is generated:

2) If you add more contents to the selected slice, the width of the selected slice will become wider after the webpage that contains the selected slice is generated:

General Steps of Setting the Selected Slice as Auto Width with SliceMaker Products

Step One: Select the Slice that You Want to Set as Auto Width Attribute.

Please firstly click the Select button   and then click the border of the slice to select it, such as follow:

Step Two: Tick the Below Box to Set the Selected Slice as Auto Width Attribute

Example of Setting and Not Setting Auto Width Attribute to the Selected Slice

For SliceMaker products, a slice actually is a content container to which you can input contents including texts, images, codes (like HTML codes), etc.

The height (View how to set auto height attribute >>) and width of the above blue border are fixed, so the contents inputted into the blue border should not be out of the range of the blue border. However, if we set this slice as auto width attribute, the width of the above blue border will be flexible, that is, its width will change according to the contents within itself after the webpage that contains the blue border is generated, view the below example:

Situation 1: If you don¡¯t set the selected slice as auto width but input an image whose width is wider than the selected slice¡¯s width, the image will not display properly after the webpage that contains the selected slice is generated. (Note: Here, we assume that the image has the same height as the selected slice.)

(The image may only be displayed partially after the webpage that contains the selected slice is generated.)

Situation 2: If you set the selected slice as auto width and input an image whose width is wider than the selected slice¡¯s width, the image will still display properly after the webpage that contains the selected slice is generated. (Note: Here, we assume that the image has the same height as the selected slice.)

(The Image is displayed properly after the webpage that contains the selected slice is generated.)
